Cherish the last few drops
Can you believe that it's officially autumn? Where is the clear blue sky, the falling leaves and the charming 'kashphool'? It seems monsoon is adamant this year, unwilling to make an exit whilst keeping autumn on wait.
We are now on the last few days of 'extended monsoon'. The heavy showers during the prolonged epilogue of the season ought to be cherished.
Snuggle up on a couch with a book. Let Tagore play on the background. Soak yourself in the rain playing football. Or go to the rooftop and enjoy the downpour. And of course, cherish in a family meal of mouth-watering 'khichuri' and the evening 'bhajapora'.
The lightning and thunders and the earthy smell after rain is a nostalgic experience we will miss for many months ahead. In some days' time, autumn will take over. It of course, has its own charm. Nevertheless, it is also marked with days of scorching heat.
Let the raindrops keep falling on your head. Enjoy the rain while it lasts!
