The Hub Theory begins operations with a concept called speed networking
Borrowed from the idea of speed dating, The Hub Theory, a networking platform for professional women, executed a similar concept on September 24, 2022, for the first time in Bangladesh called 'Speed Networking'.
Planned in a similar manner to speed dating, where potential candidates get a chance to talk to each other for 10-15 minutes before they move onto the next person. There was a room full of women who were entrepreneurs and professionals talking to each other, at a time. Ten to fifteen women participated in the event, which lasted an hour. Followed by tea and snacks and more networking opportunity.
The Hub Theory was formed by Ashna Afroze, Ishrat Jahan Nabila, Maisha Samiha, Nafisa Tarannum, Rabita Rashid Majumder, Benazir Aunon Sarker, Sharreen Reza and Zeenat Poonam, earlier this year when they hosted their first event on Women's day! The Hub Theory aims to be a networking platform solely for women to empower each other and expand their horizon by connecting professionally.
As a follow up, the team decided to host this speed networking event called The Hub Archive, which will be conducted every 2-3 months.
On the day of the event, The Hub Archive had two sessions, one in the morning and another in the afternoon, each being about 60-80 minutes. The emcee introduced the idea of The Hub Theory to the participants at the beginning and the event concluded with goodie bags from The Hub Theory, group photos and important feedback from the participants.
