WINGS celebrates 48 years of independence of women in Bangladesh

On 23 March, 2019, seven Bangladeshi women of exceptional personality and accomplishment were awarded by WINGS at their celebration.

To honour the day and occasion, Rokiya Afzal Rahman, Vice President of International Chamber of Commerce, Bangladesh (ICC,B); HE. Rina P. Soemarno, Ambassador, Indonesian Embassy in Bangladesh; and Brg. Gen. Md. Manzur Qader, Advisor, Bangladesh Heritage Crafts Foundation (BHCF) attended as special guests at the Baridhara Diplomatic Enclave Club, along with top entrepreneurs, dignitaries and professionals.

The recipient of the awards are Nishat Mazumder (climbed Mt. Everest), Dr Shahida Khandaker (freedom fighter), Dr Rumana Dowla (doctor), Adity Mohosin (singer), Dolly Iqbal (dancer), Elita Karim (journalist and singer) and Rozina (entrepreneur).
