- Speaking at a huge rally in Brahmanbaria, Mawlana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani says that it is only through implementation of a sovereign East Pakistan on the basis of Lahore proposals that all forms of political and economic exploitation on the people will end. He says he is demanding implementation of the Lahore proposal since 1947. He says the proposals included a proposition for formation of independent state of East Bangla. He calls upon the people of East Pakistan to prepare for wholehearted sacrifice to achieve freedom. He calls upon the exploiters’ class to bow before the want of the people. He adds that the exploitation in this region did not end with the British rule, instead the people are being exploited by a different imperialism. There is no power in the world that can stop the people’s victory.
