Chris Hemsworth gears up for ‘Extraction’ sequel
Hollywood superstar Chris Hemsworth is geared up to play the role of Tyler Rake once again for the much awaited "Extraction" sequel.
The "Thor" actor shared a full-body workout video on Instagram, where his fans can see him training for the tough mercenary role.
Hemsworth captioned the post, "Gearing up for @netflix Extraction sequel. Transitioning from heavyweight training to a lot more bodyweight functional movements concentrating on agility, strength and speed. Give this little work out a go and let the lungs scream for mercy!".
"Extraction", which premiered on Netflix, remains one of the most watched movies in the streaming site with 99 million households tuning in during the first month of its release in 2020.
The movie showcases Hemsworth in the role of an army veteran-turned-mercenary who is tasked with rescuing the son of an Indian drug lord, who was kidnapped in Bangladesh.
Filming of the sequel is slated to start in the beginning of October, and the actor is taking full preparations to get into the character.
Apart from the "Extraction" sequel, Hemsworth also has "Thor: Love and Thunder" and "Mad Max: The Wasteland" in the pipeline. The actor has already wrapped up the shoot for the Taika Watiti directorial "Thor: Love And Thunder".
