Second earthquake shakes Bangladesh
An earthquake with a 5.1 magnitude on the Richter scale jolted Bangladesh again in the wee hours after a 5.5 quake rocked the country earlier yesterday.
Bangla daily Prothom Alo, quoting Bangladesh met office, said the tremor was felt in Dhaka at 12:49am. The 5.1 magnitude earthquake originated around 423 kilometres east of Myanmar.
There was no report of casualty in the recent earthquake that jolted Bangladesh yesterday.

US Geological Survey pinpointed yesterday’s 5.5 magnitude earthquake at 19 kilometres northeast of Ambassa region of neighbouring Tripura. The Indian Met Department said the intensity of the quake was 5.7 on the Richter scale as recorded by them.
An elderly person died of shock at Jagannathpur upazila in Sunamganj while the tremor caused huge damage in Kamalganj upazila of Moulvibazar yesterday afternoon.
