Virtual court not an alternative to regular judicial activities: law minister
Law Minister Anisul Huq today said virtual court functions are not an alternative to the regular judicial activities.
"The virtual proceedings of the courts will run only in an unusual or a particular situation. The virtual judicial functions will take place in particular situations even when the temporary ordinance issued for operating the virtual court functions will be converted into a permanent law," he said.
The law minister was speaking as chief guest at the inauguration session of a four-month long foundation training course of the assistant judges and judicial magistrates at the Judicial Administration Training Institute (JATI) in Dhaka.
The inauguration ceremony was virtually held through using information and communication technology.
Anisul Huq said it is very normal that the court functions will take place through virtual system as the world is running on the information and communication technology at present.
