Kid drowns in pond

A one-year-old boy drowned in a pond at Mostafapur village in Dupchanchia upazila of the district on Monday. The deceased is Mostakin, son of Sanwar Hossain of the village. Police and locals said Mostakin fell into the pond while playing on its bank and drowned. Aslam Hossain, sub-inspector of Dupchanchia Police Station, confirmed the incident.
