HC won’t interfere in Nusrat murder probe
The High Court today said the investigation into the case filed over the murder of Feni madrasa student Nusrat Jahan Rafi is going on in the right way.
Therefore, the court will not interfere in this matter now, the HC said.
There is reportedly no negligence on the part of the government in the investigation of the case, the High Court bench of Justice FRM Nazmul Ahasan and Justice KM Kamrul Kader said when a lawyer placed a writ petition involving this issue for its hearing today.
The court said the prime minister herself is monitoring the Nusrat murder case. And at this stage, the court does not want to interfere and hamper the investigation.
The High Court bench asked writ petitioner Advocate Eunus Ali Akond to wait until next Sunday as the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) is expected to complete the investigation by this time.
The bench fixed next Sunday for hearing the writ petition filed by Eunus Ali on April 17 seeking its directive on the government to form a judicial inquiry commission to probe the Nusrat murder incident.
