Mitu murder: Tk 5 lakh bounty for Musa

Chittagong police today announced Tk 5 lakh bounty for Kamrul Islam Sikdar Musa, one of the main accused in the Mahmuda Khanam Mitu murder case.

Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) Commissioner Iqbal Bahar announced the bounty at a press conference in CMP headquarters.

The press conference was arranged on the security measures taken by the CMP for upcoming Durga Puja and Ashura.

Investigators of the case focused on Musa’s arrest identifying him as the prime suspect.

So far, seven people were arrested in connection with the case and two of them gave confessional statements.

On June 5, Mitu, wife of police superintendent Babul Akter, was stabbed and shot dead at GEC intersection in the port city while she was walking her son to the school bus stop near their home.
