According to the statement by the victim taken at the One Stop Crisis Centre (OCC) of Kulaura Hospital, Shukur Ali, son of Abdullah of Gouri Sangkar village of Joychandi union, called the victim on her mobile phone and asked her to meet him in front of Kulaura Municipality around 7:00 pm, said OCC’s Program Officer Aman Ullah.

As the girl went there, some people forcibly dragged her into a CNG-run autorickshaw which had been parked nearby.

Other persons waiting inside the vehicle including its driver then tied her mouth with a handkerchief. They took her to a hilly area on the vehicle where they raped her and filmed the incident on their phones, Aman Ullah also said quoting the victim.

Later around 11:00 pm, the miscreants dumped her near Kulaura Railway Station. She then managed to reach home after which family members admitted her to Kulaura General Hospital around 12:00 am.

The victim was sent to Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital this afternoon for physical examination.

Police have already detained a suspect in this connection and are trying to catch the other culprits very soon, said Yardous Hasan officer-in-charge (OC) of Kulaura Police Station.
