Rahul Gandhi tests positive for Covid-19
India's Congress Party leader Rahul Gandhi today said that he has tested positive for Covid-19 and has "mild symptoms".
"After experiencing mild symptoms, I've just tested positive for COVID. All those who've been in contact with me recently, please follow all safety protocols and stay safe," Rahul tweeted.
Rahul had campaigned in West Bengal assembly elections for a day last week and a few days ago announced that he was canceling all his rallies in the state due to the Covid-19 situation, reports our New Delhi correspondent.
Another top Congress leader and former Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh, is at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences with a high fever. The 88-year-old leader also tested positive for Covid-19.
Singh has already received two doses of Covid-19 vaccine Covaxin and was, according to sources, hospitalised as "a matter of abundant precaution".
