Govt extends ongoing restrictions on movement till July 15
Amid a surge in the Covid-19 cases, the government has decided to extend the ongoing countrywide restriction on public movement and transport till July 15.
The Cabinet Division today issued a gazette notification in this regard where it also said all government, non-government and autonomous organisations, banks and other financial organisations will be open while maintaining health guidelines.
According to the notification, the deputy commissioners of high-risk districts can take necessary measures, including announcing of lockdown in their respective areas after discussing it with the local representatives and the concerned committees.

The government has prohibited gatherings at tourist spots, resorts and community centres during the period.
It has asked not to hold any social, political and religious programmes to avert public gatherings.
Restaurants can serve food at half capacity between 6am to 10pm and also provide takeaway and online services.
The authorities concerned will ensure that public transports, including inter-districts buses, are carrying passengers at half capacity, maintaining health rules.
The government has asked all the authorities concerned to take proper measures in this regard.
