Two Ctg cops injured during raid

Two policemen were injured by an alleged criminal before arresting him during a raid in Harishpur area of Sandwip upazila in Chittagong yesterday.

Assistant Sub-Inspector Akbor Hossain, who was shot, and Constable Faruk Hossain were being treated at a local hospital, said Shamsul Islam, officer-in-charge of Sandwip Police Station.

Jafor Alam, an accused in 10 various cases, who fired gunshots targeting the policemen, was arrested with a pistol and three bullets, said the OC.
