Traffic to be disciplined in Dhaka rest of Jan
Dhaka city’s traffic will be disciplined for the remaining half of January, Department of Traffic of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) said today.
Elaborate action plans have been drawn to upgrade traffic regulations and their obedience among the public, says a press release of DMP.
DMP through the press release also urged the city dwellers for their cooperation in this regard.
The action plan includes
-- Awareness building with leaflets, placards and guides
-- Programs at important intersections in the city
-- Attach rover scout, other volunteers with traffic department
-- Install zebra crossings and road markings
-- Engaging volunteers at educational institutions on highways
-- Continuing mobile courts and traffic raids
-- Check post activities in the city.
-- Encourage people to use foot-over bridges
-- Measures to keep car doors locked while driving
-- Measures against stopping vehicles without designated stoppages
-- Increasing number of video cases
