Rise High Bangladesh at KU, Kuet
With the promise of promoting fresh and innovative export ideas, the third season of Rise High Bangladesh contest held its campus activation programme in two universities in Khulna yesterday and Wednesday.
The students of Khulna University (KU) and Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (Kuet) participated in the campus activation amid enthusiasm and festivity.
On Wednesday, students of KU looked on curiously at the events going on in their campus as volunteers explained the contest to them. Rise High Bangladesh is an initiative of The Daily Star and Crown Cement.
A large number of students participated in the campus events that aimed to motivate youth to generate export ideas.
The event on KU campus started from 9:00am at the cafeteria and went on till 5:00pm. The programme area was decorated with banners and posters containing information of the contest, while volunteers also elaborated on the objectives, incentives and rules of participation to students.
The activation on Kuet campus stated at 9:00am and went on 5:00pm yesterday, where students participated with enthusiasm. They participated in games and won token prizes.
Prof Quazi Sazzad Hossain, vice-chancellor of Kuet, said Rise High Bangladesh will help motivate students to think out of the conservative and traditional views.
