Reinstall nameplates by Mar 13: Oikya Parishad
Leaders of Bangladesh Hindu-Bouddha-Christian Oikya Parishad yesterday demanded that Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) authority reinstall six nameplates of Chatteshwari Road in the port city by March 13.
The demand was made in a press conference at Chattogram Press Club, where speakers warned of a tough movement if it is not done within the time.
Advocate Rana Das Gupta, general secretary of the parishad said since the British regime, the six nameplates were on the road stretching from Gulzar Intersection to Kazir Dewri through Battery Goli, James Finley and Chittagong Medical College Hostel areas.
The nameplates disappeared a few months ago, he said, adding that CCC has not taken any initiative to reinstall those.
