Rahim Uddin Bharsa passes away
Rahim Uddin Bharsa, former lawmaker and ex-president of Rangpur district BNP, passed away yesterday due to old age complications.
He was 86.
Rahim, also founding publisher of local daily Juger Alo, breathed his last at a private hospital in Dhaka.
He left behind five sons, nine daughters and numerous well-wishers to mourn his death.
According to family members, he was elected a lawmaker in 1979 after joining BNP and had served as president of the party's Rangpur unit for a long time.
He had contested the national election in 2001 and 2008 under BNP.
All well-wishers are requested to pray for the salvation of his departed soul.
