Rab rescues abducted child, arrests 2
Rapid Action Battalion members have rescued a seven-year old boy from Gazipur, four days after he was abducted from Cumilla's Muradnagar.
The elite force also arrested two abductors and produced them before a court. The court sent them to jail yesterday.
The rescued child, Mohammad Al Abdullah, is a son of Babul Miah.
The arrestees are Md Sayeed Sultan, 19, and Reaz Ahmed, 18.
Rapid Action Battalion (Rab)-1 Company Commander Lt Commander Abdullah Al-Mamun in a press statement said the abductors kidnapped Abdullah from his house around 11:30am on December 19. A general dairy (GD) was filed with Muradnagar Police Station two days after the abduction.
The abductors demanded demanded Tk 5 lakh as ransom from Abdullah's father. He was asked to go to Rajendrapur area in Gazipur along with the ransom money.
Babul Miah informed the matter to Rab-1 Porabari camp in Gazipur.
Rab members arrested the two abductors from a house in Rajendrapur Sign Board area around 11:30pm on Friday and rescued the abducted boy.
