Nilufar Khanam passes away

Nilufar Khanam, wife of martyred freedom fighter Sergeant Shamsul Karim Khan, passed away on January 31, said a press release.

She was undergoing treatment at Combined Military Hospital in Dhaka.

Nilufar was born on April 19, 1935 at Narsingdi’s Balushai. She left behind three sons, four daughters, grandchildren, and countless well-wishers.

She was involved in movements that aimed to uphold the values of the Liberation War. A doa mahfil was arranged at Cantonment Board Jame Masjid last Friday in her memory.
