Deceased Bangladeshis identified
Bangladesh embassy in Riyadh has identified the ten Bangladeshi workers who were killed in a road crash on Thursday morning in Shaqra, Saudi Arabia. A minibus was transporting them from Dammam to Madina when it fell into a ditch after a tyre burst.
The deceased are Bahadur from Tangail, Rafiqul Islam from Kushtia, Yunus Ali from Mymensingh, Jamaluddin Majhi from Narsingdi, Giasuddin Mridha from Naogaon, Md Jewel from Kishoreganj, Imdadul from Narsingdi, Md Manik from Naogaon, Md Al Amin from Narsingdi and Md Monir Hossain from Tangail.
The workers were employed by Al Habib Company, according to a statement of Bangladesh embassy in Riyadh.
Of the seven others who were injured in the accident, two are undergoing treatment at a hospital in Riyadh and three others at another hospital in Shaqra. Two were released after primary treatment, the statement said.
Bangladesh Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Golam Moshi said the bodies will be sent home after completing legal procedures, and the injured will be provided proper treatment.
