BRTA mobile courts sue 50 vehicles

Three mobile courts of Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) of Chattogram in separate drives filed 50 cases against vehicles, and fined Tk 82,500 for violating traffic rules yesterday.

Twenty two cases were filed in Kazir Dewri intersection and fined Tk 23,500, while 18 cases were lodged in Nanda Kanan area and fined Tk 37,500.

Meanwhile, in another drive, 10 cases were filed in Sholashahar Gate No 2 area and fined Tk 21,500, said Ziaul Haque Mir, executive magistrate of BRTA, Chattogram.

“The drives would continue,” Ziaul Haque said.
