ACC files case against former chairman
Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) yesterday filed a case against former chairman of Rajshahi Development Authority (RDA) Tapan Chandra Majumdar and nine others for allegedly allocating about 51 katha land of Chandrima Residential area.
ACC’s Assistant Director Al-Amin filed the case with the commission’s Integrated District Office in Rajshahi yesterday.
The other accused are: RDA’s former estate officer Abu Bakkar Siddiqui, account officer Rustam Ali, office assistant Mostaque Ahmed, managing director of Aesthetic Design and Development Ltd Mahfuzul Haque, and five civilians – Enamul Haque, Abu Rayhan Shoyeb Ahmed Siddiqui, Dr SM Khodeza Nahar Begum, Dr Md Robiul Islam Swapan, and Khairul Alam.
ACC’s Public Relations Officer (PRO) Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya said, the accused, violating the corresponding rules, allocated 50.67 katha land of Chandrima Residential area illegally between December 2005 and January 2006.
