42 Rohingyas sent back to Cox’s Bazar from Ctg
Police sent 42 Rohingyas including women and children who fled different refugee camps, back to Cox’s Bazar after detaining them from Patiya upazila of Chattogram early yesterday.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) Borhan Uddin of Patiya Police Station said they detained the 42 Rohingyas who had built shanties at Haidgao union of Patiya upazila, on Monday night after locals informed them.
During primary interrogation, the Rohingyas told police that they came to Patiya 20 days ago after fleeing from different camps in Cox’s Bazar, said the OC.
After completing the legal procedures, they were sent back to their designated camps in a bus around 1am, said the OC.
