2 Indians held with USD 29,600 in Benapole
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested two Indians with USD 29,600 from Benapole Port area on Thursday.
BGB-49 Commanding Officer Lt Col Selim Reza said acting on a tip-off, a BGB team searched a Shyamoli Paribahan bus in Amrakhali area and arrested Rakesh Mandal with USD 25,000 in the morning.
Rakesh is a resident of West Bengal. He was involved in Hundi business, BGB commanding officer told journalists.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, BGB arrested another Indian national, Ashok Biswas, 29, from West Bengal, with USD 4,600 in the same area that night.
