Freedom fighter Khalilur Rahman passes away

Khalilur Rahman, a freedom fighter, died yesterday morning after a long battle with cancer, said a press release.

The seventy-two year old retired police officer breathed his last at his residence in Rajshahi.

He was laid to rest at his family graveyard after a namaj-e- janaza at Sardah Eidgah.

His son Mahfuzur Rahman Mishu is the special correspondent of Jamuna Television and general secretary of Diplomatic Correspondents Association, Bangladesh (DCAB).

DCAB President Rezaul Karim Lotus expressed his sympathy to the bereaved family and prayed for the salvation of the departed soul.
