Dhaka schoolboy ‘murderer’ arrested
The prime accused of the Dhaka schoolboy murder of yesterday was arrested this afternoon.
Al-Alamin, 26, a drug addict, was arrested on Dhaka-Tangail highway near Bangabandhu bridge while fleeing, said Mohammed Farid Uddin, deputy commissioner of Wari division police.
He is already implicated in several cases.
Ridwan, 11, a seventh-grader of Narinda High School was stabbed to death yesterday afternoon outside his Golapbagh residence. Al-Amin went into hiding since.
Victim's family alleged that Al Amin demanded money from them. As they refused to give him the money, Al Amin killed Ridwan, they suspected.
Last night, the victim’s father Nazrul Islam filed a case with Jatrabari Police Station accusing Al Amin, his father Abdul Mannan, his younger brother Ar Amin.
Police already arrested Ar Amin, but his father has been absconding.
