7 workers suffer burn injuries at Kadamtali steel mill

Seven workers suffered burn injuries when they were melting iron at a steel mill at Kadamtali area in the capital this morning.

Of the seven, three who are severely injured, are receiving treatment at the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), according to sources at the hospital.

The injured are, Rasel (32), Redwan (27), Sohagh (25), Babar (35), Dulal (30), and Shujon (27) were melting iron at Kamal Steel Mills when the incident occurred, Shanjit Mondal, supervisor of the factory told The Daily Star.

While Babar, Shujon and Dulal are currently being treated, the rest were discharged after primary treatment.
