57 including 8 BNP, Jamaat-Shibir men arrested in Ctg

Police arrested 57 people including eight BNP, Jamaat and Shibir men from different upazilas of Chittagong in overnight drives yesterday.

During the drives, 400 pieces of Yaba tablets, 80 litres of locally made liquor and 250 grams of hemp were also recovered, said Abdul Awal, additional superintendent of police (special branch), Chittagong.

There are cases against the arrestees on different charges, he added.
