Dhaka University Vice Chancellor Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman urged the students of the university to keep their campus clean so that it will be a model educational institution in line with the standard of cleanness, greenery and beauty.

The DU VC was inaugurating a two-month cleaning programme on the campus on Friday, said a press release.

As part of the Dhaka Clean programme, initiated by BD Clean, a voluntary organisation, the university launched the cleaning programme.

Hasibur Rahman Manik, councillor of Ward No-26 of Dhaka South City Corporation and also head of the Waste Management Department; and Supriya Das, estate manager of DU, were present among others.
