Asgar Ali Hospital observes ‘Nurses Week’
Asgar Ali Hospital observed "Nurses Week" from May 9-12 marking International Nurses Day, said a press release.
This year's theme is "Nurses: A Voice to Lead -- Invest in Nursing and respect rights to secure global health".
On the occasion, various activities for community, hospital employees and nurses were conducted. The programmes include poster competition, education on hand hygiene and health tips, quiz on health for nurses, and rally for community health.
Prof Zabrul SM Haque, CEO and director medical services of the hospital, also participated in the activities.
On May 12, International Nurses Day was held for all nurses wherein Maj (retd) Ranjana Williams, director nursing, delivered her key note and encouraged the nurses to provide the best care to the patients and ensure patients' safety and satisfaction.
She thanked the nurses for their service. The programme was attended by consultants, doctors, senior management officials, nurses and hospital staff.
