Pran-RFL generates 33,000 jobs in Narsingdi
Pran-RFL Group has recently generated 33,000 more jobs at three factories in Narsingdi.
Around 90 per cent of the employees are locals and about 20,000 female employees, said a press release.
Kamruzzaman Kamal, director (marketing) of Pran-RFL Group, made this disclosure yesterday at a views-exchange meeting with journalists at Pran Industrial Park at Palash, Narsingdi. "The aim of establishing the factories in Narsingdi is to utilise the huge potential of the population, smooth communication facility and congenial environment for doing business," he said.
He said the company gives highest importance to manufacturing quality products, employment generation and socio-economic development when setting up factories and operations.
"There are more than 100 product lines in the three factories…We have a plan to invest in some sectors including electronics, lift manufacturing, flexible packaging and recycling plant and it will create another 2,000 jobs," Kamal said.
M Shamsul Alam Miah, executive director of Pran Industrial Park, Tanul Islam, general manager, Fazle Rabbi, senior general manager of Danga Industrial Park, and Dipak Kumar Dev, general manager of Pran Factory Ghorasal, were also present.
