Bangladesh’s growth 7.11pc riding on industries
Bangladesh’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) was recorded 7.11 percent in the 2015-16 fiscal year riding on its industries, Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal said today.
During the fiscal, the per capita income increased to $1,465, he said citing the finalised statistics of the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics at his office this morning.
Growth in the agriculture section was recorded at 2.79 percent, industry at 11.09 percent, and the service sector at 6.25 percent, the planning minister told the media.
Bangladesh government aims a growth of 7.5 percent in the 2016-17 fiscal. It was the plan in the budget laid out for the fiscal by Finance Minister AMA Muhith.
