Bomb blast near state minister’s dais in Rajshahi

Some five crude bombs went off near the dais of a programme attended by State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam in Bagha upazila of Rajshahi this evening.
None was injured in the explosions, Aminur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Bagha Police Station, told our Rajshahi correspondent.
Unidentified criminals exploded the bombs on the Mirganj High School ground around 6:00pm where Monigram union Awami League organised the anti-terrorism programme, the OC said.
“The explosions took place near the dais immediately after the state minister concluded his speech,” the OC added.
