Birdem doctors to continue work abstention tomorrow
Doctors of Birdem General Hospital said today that they would continue work abstention for one hour tomorrow demanding their security in workplace.
During their work abstention, patients did not get any treatment at the outpatient department of the hospital for one hour since noon.
The doctors gathered at the hospital's auditorium for an hour since 12:00pm and announced to continue it tomorrow again, Dr Tanzina Hossain, a physician of Endocrinology department, told The Daily Star.
The doctors decided to continue this programme until trial of the attackers who assaulted their three colleagues following a patient's death Sunday night, Dr Tanzina said.
A day after the assault on the doctors Sunday night, the doctors went on work abstention from Monday demanding action against the attackers.
On Wednesday, they withdrew it after the withdrawal of Additional Superintendent of Dhaka Metropolitan Police ABM Masud Hossain, who allegedly had instigated the assault on three doctors.
During today's movement, several doctors of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital joined them.
