Bangladeshi woman’s body found from bordering region in India
Indian police yesterday recovered a Bangladeshi woman's body from Daulatpur border region of India.
The deceased Rashida Khatun (40) was found dead in the border area of Nodia district in India, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Pragpur Company Commander Subedar Amjad Hossain confirmed the news to journalists, reports our Kushtia correspondent.
A letter was sent to the India Border Security Force (BSF) to hand over the body of the deceased, said Amjad.
"The Hogolbaria police in Nodia recovered the body after locals informed them," said the BGB company commander.
Rashida was epileptic and went out of the house at 10:00am on Friday and has been missing ever since, said her father Abdul Kader hailing from Daulatpur upazila's Pragpur union.
They learned about Rashida's death from a Facebook post that was shared with her picture yesterday, he added.
