5.1 magnitude earthquake jolts Dhaka
A 5.1 magnitude earthquake shook the capital and other parts of the country yesterday afternoon.
The epicentre of the moderate earthquake was in the India-Myanmar border region, about 279km east of capital Dhaka, said Abdul Hamid, meteorologist at the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.
The tremor was felt at 4:46pm, said the official.
However, no causalities were reported yet.
