Bangladeshi startup EdBridge Scholars has recently won second place at BobCat Ventures, a grant competition in the State of Maine, United States of America. The startup, founded by Tanvir Thamid, a student at Bates College, won USD 4,000 and professional mentor support for their second-place victory.

The team earned this rank among 14 finalists, which included institutions from India and Australia. Team Bangladesh has won 15 awards including 3 gold medals at the 25th International Robot Olympiad (IRO). Held from 16-19 January 2024 in Athens, Greece, a total of 1,400 students from 26 countries participated this year, where Team Bangladesh won 3 gold medals, 6 silver medals, 4 bronze medals, and 2 technical medals.

‘Keeb Showdown’, an in-person keyboard customisation competition and the first of its kind in Bangladesh, was held on October 6 at the BCS Computer City. Local enthusiast groups called MechaBoards BD and PC Builder Bangladesh jointly organised this event as a part of the City IT Mega Fair 2023.
