"Pujor Gaane Bandhbo Praan", an online singing reality show, was arranged by Bishwarang on the occasion of Durga Puja.
The show concluded yesterday with revealing the top three winners, amongst 12 semi-finalists.
Judges of this contest were legendary singer Haimanti Sukla, alongside renowned singers Samarjit Roy and Priyanka Gope. Biplob Saha, the owner of Bishwarang, hosted the event.
"Due to the pandemic, we had to arrange the programme online," says Biplob Saha. "We are amazed by so many responses from all over the country."
The winners are — Monika Debnath Katha (1st), from Bagerhat, Naren Chakraborty (2nd) and Nobel Acharjee (3rd).
The winner of the show will receive the opportunity to sing an original track composed by Samarjit Roy. The two runners up will receive gift vouchers from the fashion house Bishwarang by Biplob Saha.
Haimanti Sukla praised all the participants and gave her valuable advice to the young generation about music.
"It was quite tough for us to judge the participants online," says Samarjit. "However, the ones with good basic skills were our priority."
"Some of contestant couldn't select the right song that suits their voice, thus it was hard for us to make the decision," shares Priyanka Gope.
The show concluded with performances by the top three participants.
