Poriborton Kori Foundation brings together artistes in support of Palestine

Poriborton Kori Foundation collaborated with prominent Bangladeshi artistes to raise awareness of the ongoing situation in Palestine. Through a video, they plea to all Bangladeshis to stand by Palestinians and donate to the State of Palestine Embassy in Dhaka, Bangladesh. They have met with the Palestinian Ambassador, His Excellency Yousef S.Y Ramadan, and learned in detail how the aid will be used and distributed. The embassy plans to distribute the aid by acquiring medical equipment and supplies to local hospitals in Gaza, Palestine.

"Poriborton Kori Foundation is always looking to work with the local artistes, to draw awareness on social causes," says Anusha Anowar, General Secretary and CCO, Poriborton Kori Foundation. The initiative was started by founder Barrister Ahsan Bhuiyan and herself. "We wanted to work towards this cause and we came up with this initiative to raise awareness in support of Palestine."

Zohad Reza Chowdhury, Nuhash Humayun, Fuad Almuqtadir, Jon Kabir, Palki Ahmed, Arafat Kazi, Amitabh Reza Chowdhury, and Abrar Athar participated in the video, sharing their concerns and expressing solidarity with the people of Palestine.

With the motto, "Rise up, Speak up"- the video was released on social media yesterday and has garnered positive responses from the audience. "The response has been very overwhelming, we have been receiving a substantial amount of donation since the video," shares Anusha. "Palestinian Ambassador, His Excellency Yousef S.Y Ramadan shared with us how he is very glad that the youth of Bangladesh is standing up for what is right, not concerning themselves with the political aspect, but the humanitarian cause."
