Moushumi's 'Ratrir Jatri' to take off in February

Keeping Pohela Falgun and Valentine's Day in mind, the film, 'Ratrir Jatri', is set to release on February 15.

In her first film of the year, superstar Moushumi plays the role of Moina, the protagonist in 'Ratrir Jatri'. One night, Moina arrives on a train from West Bengal to Dhaka, only to find out that the person who was supposed to receive her is not present. She ends up meeting the wrong person who leads her to a brothel. Moina manages to escape the horrors of the trade  and embarks on a new journey as the story unfolds.

Moushumi mentioned that the script had her captivated from the very beginning. She completed the shoot two years back, which took place across various locations in Banagladesh. The actor is putting in much effort, in an attempt to raise social awareness and promote her film. Recently, she also went to a private university in Dhaka to encourage the students to go and watch the film after its release.

Helmed by Habibul Islam, Anisur Rahman Milon will share screen space with Moushumi for the first time in Ratrir Jatri. Other renowned actors in the film include the likes of ATM Shamsuzzaman, Salahuddin Lavlu, Shahidul Alam Sachchu and others.

Moushumi has a number of films that are scheduled for release this year. She has also acted in three different commercials targeting the Dhaka International Trade Fair. Alongside her entertainment career, Moushumi is keen to serve the nation as she has purchased a nomination form for a seat in the parliament.
