Bogura Youth Choir celebrates 43 years

Bogura Youth Choir, a renowned socio-cultural organization in the northern districts, observed 43 years of establishment recently.
The organisation, established in 1976, has performed in more than 60 programs and over 700 items of their local language on Bangladesh Television and other channels. Toufiqul Alam Tipu, the founder and secretary of the organization, delivered the welcome address.
Hosne Ara Begum, founder and executive director of the TMSS (Thengamara Mohila Sabuj Shangha), said, “Whenever I visit in foreign countries, Bangladeshis ask me about the Bogura Youth-Choir. This organization introduced Bogura to the entire Bengali community.”
Artists of the Bogura Youth Choir performed music, dance and satires in the programme, which entertained thousands of people attending the event. The organisation also awarded some notable personalities, including Mozammel Haque (Editor, Daily Karatoa), esteemed local poet Rahman Wahid, and Hosne Ara Begum.
