Abinta Kabir Foundation School's vision of empowering women

“Due to my mother, my incredible role model, I value trust, determination, gratitude, respect, and open mindedness; therefore my purpose in life is to become successful, hardworking, and accepting, but at the same time care for those around me and appreciate the fortunate life I live. This is the case for me because growing up I always looked up to my mother and the many things she went through and accomplished while raising me.”

These are the words of Abinta Kabir, written in one of her college essays about her role model, her Maa. It was from her mother that she learned life's most essential ideals and skills, from the basics of tying her shoe laces, to being able to justify the difference between right and wrong.

Abinta Kabir Foundation School, founded in 2017, was established based on the ideals that Abinta had. Abinta's mother influenced her in a great manner, instilling the belief in her, that a mother of a child must be well-educated to ensure a healthy growth and development for a promising future for her offspring. To shape Abinta's noble belief into a reality, the school aims to educate girls who come from underprivileged backgrounds.

The students are taught through activity-based lessons, which help to enhance their creative potential, while the teachers receive regular training to develop their academic abilities. Additionally, there are dancing and singing lessons, along with arts and crafts. A huge collection of diverse storybooks are available in the school library, while the multimedia room ensures that the students can watch educational videos to supplement the learning in classrooms. A newly launched computer lab ensures that the girls will receive computing knowledge from the first grade onwards. Alongside these facilities, students receive a daily nutritious meal and a free monthly health checkup.

The services are provided to the students to help them transform their future, as they dream of becoming successful teachers, doctors and business individuals when they grow up. The school is striving to offer the best quality educational experience so that the girls can be empowered to fulfill their dreams, one day making Bangladesh a better place, just like Abinta wanted.
