Citywide Baishakh programmes by BSA
Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) is hosting an array of events marking the Bangla New Year 1425, at various locations in the capital.
BSA will hold a cultural programme at Mirpur at 7am with assistance from Mirpur Cultural Forum, and another one at 9am at Uttara's Rabindra Sarani Bot-tala, in association with Uttara Cultural Society.
The programmes will continue at Old Dhaka's Bahadur Shah Park at 3pm, and at the open premises of BSA at 4:30pm. Later in the afternoon at 5:pm, a discussion and cultural programme will be held at the National Theatre Hall auditorium. Bangla Academy DG Shamsuzzaman Khan will be the main speaker at the discussion, chaired by BSA DG Liaquat Ali Lucky. The programme will include songs by Priyanka Gope, Anima Roy, Kangalini Sufia and Rafiqul Alam, recitation by Jayanta Chattopadhyay, Nirmalendu Goon and Laila Afroze, and dance directred by Dipa Khandaker, Farhana Chowdhury Baby and Antor Dwan.
