80 Sylhet JCD men sued
JCD central Vice-President Abdul Ahad Khan Jamal and 79 others have been sued on charge of attacks on the houses of Sylhet JCD city unit Vice-President Mahbub Kadir Shahi and Madan Mohan College unit Vice-President Jamal Ahmed alias Kala Jamal on June 27.
Officer-in-Charge Md Shah Zaman of Airport Police Station said Mahbub Kadir Shahi filed a case on Tuesday night, accusing Abdul Ahad Khan Jamal, district Swechchhasebok Dal Joint Convener Zakir Hossain and 44 JCD men .
Jamal's brother Mokhlesur Rahman filed another case the same night, accusing 34 JCD men, the OC added.
An hour into the killing of JCD leader Zillul Haque Zilu in the city's Patatula area on June 27 evening, Mahbub Kadir's house was attacked and his car was torched allegedly the JCD men. They also swooped on Jamal Ahmed's house in the city and torched two motorbikes there.
On June 29, Slain Zilu's brother Ahmed Ahsan filed a case with Sylhet Kotwali Police Station, accusing city JCD Vice-President Mahbub Kadir Shahi and 31 others.
On July 1, central JCD expelled the Sylhet's Madan Mohan College JCD President Kazi Meraj, vice-presidents Jamal Ahmed and Nesar Alam Shahin and four others, as they were accused in the murder case.
