31 opposition men held in Comilla
Law enforcers picked up 31 activists of BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing, Islami Chhatra Shibir, in overnight drives in Comilla on suspicion that they might create anarchy.
Of the detainees, 21 are from main opposition BNP, one from Jamaat and nine from Shibir, reports our Comilla correspondent.
Police conducted the drives in 16 upazilas of the district and nabbed the opposition men suspecting that they might create chaos in the areas, said Ali Ashraf Bhuiyan, additional superintendent of police (Sadar) in Comilla.
