Three people were killed and 10 injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck on Dhaka-Aricha highway in Dhamrai, on the outskirts of the capital, this morning.
All the deceased -- Sirajul Islam, 38, Kawsar Ahmed, 28, and Bishwajit 25 -- were passengers of the bus, reports our Savar correspondent quoting Officer-in-Charge of Dhamrai Police Station Md Firoj Talukdar.
Sirajul and Kawsar died on the spot when the bus collided with a truck in Shreerampur area around 9:30am, the OC said.
Critically injured Biswajit was rushed to Manikganj Sadar Hospital where doctors declared him dead, he said.
Meanwhile, the other injured passengers received primary treatment at near-by clinics, the police official said.
