Injured in BCL infighting: CMC student Aqib’s condition improves
Chittagong Medical College student Mahadi J Aqib's health condition has improved, said doctors today.
A student of MBBS 62nd batch at CMC, Aqib who is undergoing treatment at the CMCH ICU, underwent an operation after he was critically injured during Chhatra League's infighting on campus on Saturday, reports our Chattogram staff correspondent.
"I helped him sit on the bed today and we shook hands. He also brushed his teeth," said Dr Noman Khaled Chowdhury, head of the Neurosurgery department of CMCH.
"His recovery is satisfactory," he added.
Aqib and two other BCL activists at CMC were wounded during the Chhatra League factional clash.
After the clash, the CMC academic council decided to close the college for an indefinite time.
