Application deadline for 2022 Fulbright scholarship in US extended

Application deadline for the Fulbright Scholarship in the United States has been extended.

Interested Bangladeshis can apply till 10:59 am, December 21, 2021, according to the US Embassy in Dhaka.

Earlier, the deadline to apply for the scholarship was till 11:59 am, December 11.

The American Center at the US Embassy in Dhaka announced a grant for the Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program in 2022.

This fully funded US Department of State flagship exchange program provides grants to Bangladeshi scholars to conduct post-doctoral research and/or teach at US institutions -- from an academic semester to a full academic year. 

Experienced Bangladeshi professionals, university faculty members, and researchers at think-tanks and relevant governmental and non-governmental organisations with 10 years or more professional experience are invited to apply.

The US Embassy seeks proposals on a wide range of topics in all disciplines with a special focus on university administration and curriculum development, distance learning, education technology, public health, biological sciences, pharmacy, climate change and disaster management, urban planning, international relations and other related fields. 

Candidates must have excellent English language skills to function professionally in an American university setting.

Expenses, including airfare, tuition and related academic fees, monthly stipends for room, accommodation, ancillary expenses, book purchase allowance, health and accident insurance, travel allowance, and extra luggage allowance are all included in the Fulbright scholarship.
