All educational institutes likely to reopen after Feb 21: Health Minister

Health Minister Zahid Maleque today said that all educational institutions are likely to reopen after February 21.

The minister said this in a meeting with local doctors and politicians at Manikganj's Gorpara Shuvro Centre this afternoon, reports our Manikganj correspondent.

Asked about the reopening of educational institutions, the minister said the government and education ministry usually take decision about the educational institutions. "When they seek our advice, we give our opinions," he said.

"So far, we know that the educational institutions will reopen after February 21 as the education minister mentioned it earlier," the health minister said.

Around 28 lakh students have been vaccinated so far and an additional 40 lakh madrasa students have been vaccinated, he said.

The minister urged the students, who yet to receive vaccines, to get vaccinated as soon as possible.
